04.01.2007 - Ouija Board Says Farewell To Gainsborough Stables
Ouija Boardleft Gainsborough Stables for the final time this afternoon and made the short journey to Stanley House Stud, where the mare was born nearly six years ago. Here she will begin preparations for her journey to America, where she will be covered by one of the world’s leading sires, Kingmambo.

Ouija Board
Ouija Board began her racing career for Ed Dunlop in October 2003, where she finished third in a Newmarket Maiden. During her racing career, which has spanned over four seasons she has won ten races, of which seven of those were Group 1 races. Many would say that the highlight of her career was her win in the Nassau Stakes, where she battled like a true star to beat the globetrotting Alexander Goldrun.
Her trainer Ed Dunlop said “It’s a sad day for everyone concerned but something we have all been prepared for for some time now.
She has changed so many lives and left so many memories, let’s hope that she can be a wonderful broodmare for the Derby’s and who knows we may be lucky enough to train some of the progeny”
