28.10.06 - Dalvina makes a winning start
DALVINA gave a most impressive display in scoring on her debut in the first division of the seven-furlong maiden at Lingfield on October 26.

Dalvina
The Grand Lodge filly made light of a poor draw - 14 of 14 - in the hands of Jamie Spencer as she came with a storming late run.
Spencer settled his mount in the rear through the early paces after she was slightly slow into stride.
As they turned into the straight Dalvina still had plenty on her plate before making relentless progress on the wide outer.
As they approached the final furlong, there only looked like being one winner with Dalvina travelling superbly.
Spencer kicked her into pole position inside the final 100 yards and she ran on to score by a length-and-a-quarter.
It was a eye-catching performance by the filly, trained by Ed Dunlop who also won the 2005 renewal of the race with Bouboulina.
