21.09.06 - King Charles is hat-trick hero
KING CHARLES completed a swift three-timer when getting up in the shadow of the post to claim a mile nursery at Newmarket on September 19.

The King’s Best colt had previously won on the grass and then the all-weather surface at Lingfield.
But his hat-trick success came on his own backdoor step with Daragh O’Donohoe rousted him along to on the stands’ rail to collar the long-time leader on the line for a short-head victory.
Trainer Ed Dunlop said: “He has proved really progressive and has done really well to win three on the bounce.
“It is very unlikely that we will race him again this season and I would hope that with another winter behind him that he can find further improvement.”
