21.09.06 - Munaddam races to Folkestone victory
MUNADDAM came with a storming late run to take a six-furlong handicap at Folkestone by half-a-length on September 18.
The four-year-old son of Aljabr - a close-season arrival at Gainsborough Stables from Godolphin - triumphed in the hands of Martin Dwyer for his first victory since he was a two-year-old.
This season he has run creditably on previous occasions - notably the Stewards’ Cup. But at the Kent track he was able to regain the winning thread, coming home a stirring burst of speed after travelling mid-division.
Trainer Ed Dunlop said: “He has always worked like a good horse and I’m delighted that he has managed to get his head back in front.
“He will now be prepared for a campaign at the 2007 Dubai International Racing Carnival.”
