Mulzim
Another dry day here in Newmarket and the ground will be riding on the faster side of good at the Craven meeting. It looks a very good Nell Gwyn and there are some other fascinating contests on what it a very good card.
Titan ran respectably in the Wood Ditton when finishing eight, he is still learning but he showed us he has some ability.Apex King was a little disappointing in The Fielden Stakes but they went slow early and the ground was a little lively for him. I hope he will be able to build on this run when we next see him.
We run three horses today at Beverley and Wolverhampton. Amlad has a strong chance on the form book in the 1m2f Maiden at Beverley but it is a trappy race. Chippenham is improving with every run and Sable Island has hinted at ability. Sunrize and Pleasant Surprise are both unraced but the former has a Derby entry and the latter has an interesting pedigree so it could be a stronger race than it looks. We set the standard and I hope our horse will come on for his seasonal debut and prove good enough to break his Maiden.
Global Revival makes his first start over 1m4f in the 5:10 at Beverley. He shapes as though he will stay this trip and we hope it can bring about a little improvement. The Blues Master looks like he has improvement in him and he may stay even further whilst the other three horses in the field all placed last time. I hope he can run well in what is a competitive affair.
Mulzim is our final runner in the 6:15 at Wolverhampton this evening. He shaped encouragingly at Chelmsford on his comeback and I think his mark of 69 should prove to be workable. His draw is wider than ideal but I hope he will still be able to be competitive. Looking at his opponents Altiko Tommy has been in fine fettle whilst Al Mansor shaped encouragingly on his comeback.
