Almizhar
We are having an Indian Summer here at HQ and it is once more in the high 20’s. The irrigation systems will be working overtime at the Rowley Mile and we used the all-weather Al Bahathri gallop when working a handful of horses during first and second lot. I was pleased with how the horses went and a lot of them will be running at Kempton next week as the prevailing fast ground is not suitable for them.
Social Media was our sole runner on Monday at Wolverhampton and she ran with credit in fifth, she appears to just gallop and we will look for a small race for her in the future.
Almizhar is our only runner today at Sandown Park, the son of Dark Angel was a Tattersalls Breeze Up purchase and he is a likeable sort who will benefit from his first run like the majority of my two-year olds do. It will be interesting to see how the son of Frankel Atty Persse runs and he is likely to start a warm order but Hamada shaped with enough promise on debut to suggest Atty Persse will have to be above average to win.
