Global Applause with Tory
An overcast morning here in Newmarket and there has been a light drizzle which has stopped for now. It has been amazing to see the amount of rain falling around Newbury and Windsor with over 30mm falling at Newbury in a short space of time. The horses continue to look well and last week’s sunshine definitely helped them. We had many of the members of the Highclere Melbourne syndicate that own Opposition here this morning to see him out at exercise, I hope to run him this weekend.
Zauffaly was our sole runner at Chepstow yesterday, the winner won well but he did show battling qualities to get up for second on the line and I am not sure conditions there were entirely to his liking after the heavy rain. He has been a very consistent horse for us and I hope we can win with him in the near future.
We have a busy week ahead despite having no runners today. We have three horses declared at Newmarket tomorrow and then five runners on Friday. We also have eleven horses entered on Saturday and I hope to run some smart horses so keep an eye out for the blog in the coming days.
I am off to Deauville on Friday for a flying visit to the sales there as I have some possible orders to buy Breeze Up horses. It was very competitive at the Guineas Breeze Up and I expect it to be very similar in France too.
