We have two to tango at Doncaster

Fri 22 October 2010

NATIVE KHAN and SHARNBERRY fly the flag for La Grange at Doncaster on Saturday, and with three weeks having passed since our last winner, Haylaman at Wolverhampton, it would be nice to think that we might have something to celebrate again on Town Moor.

Obviously, our big hope is Native Khan in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy, and Ed said:"The ground is drying out all the time, and, while there is a possibility of some rain on Saturday morning, it looks like it might not be much, so, hopefully, the going will be ok. Our fellow is such a good mover that he floats over fast ground, but we are in autumn now and cannot expect those conditions, and he worked well enough for Paul Hanagan on Wednesday morning to be optimistic of a decent run in what looks a very competitive race."

"Sharnberry runs in the Listed sprint against the colts. We threw her in the deep end in the Cheveley Park, but she ran ok in ground which would have been softer than she likes, and, though it is always tough taking on the boys, she drops down a few grades and ought to run well. We have always liked her."
