We are set for a busy day of racing this Saturday with runners at Ascot and Kempton.
The Reds are out in force with the mighty Red Cadeaux and Red Runaway both lining up at Kempton. Our travelling warrior, Red Cadeaux is making a rather short journey by his standers, down to Middlesex for The September Stakes Group 3 over 1m4f at 2.20pm. G. Mosse is flying over to take the ride on our globetrotting superstar before they both, hopefully head to Australia for another shot at The Melbourne Cup.
Mosse also rides Red Runaway in the 3.35pm handicap on the same card, over 1m3f. This will be the first time Mosse has partnered Red Runaway and we are hopeful this gelding will put up another solid performance.
Red Avenger completes the trio of “Red” runners for the team tomorrow when he takes on another tough class 2 handicap at Ascot. Jimmy Fortune is back in the saddle on this lovely War Front colt and we hope they can reproduce their winning formula from Glorious Goodwood!
Trip To Paris is running in the valuable Bristol Heritage Handicap over 1m4f at 3.30pm. Trip To Paris is becoming a regular at Ascot and seems to handle these big race fields. We have put a line through his last run and he has been in great form since then. Fran Berry is booked to ride this colt.
Auction is our last runner on the day and is flying the flag for the fillies. She is running at Ascot in a fillies handicap over 1m at 4.40pm with the talented apprentice Cam Hardie, taking a valuable 5lbs off her back. Auction has been slightly frustrating this year but has acted well around this course in the past when finishing second in a Listed race at the Royal meeting last year.
Best of luck to all our runners and riders and let’s hope it is a fruitful day for our owners!
