Visit from South Lee School

Thu 14 June 2012

Today we had the pleasure of a visit from some students of South Lee School, Bury St Edmunds. The group was made up of boys and girls from Year Seven, all eager to learn about the daily running of a busy racing yard. Pictured below on Newmarket Heath, they watched two year olds warm up in the indoor ride, followed by a routine canter up Warren Hill. They also observed horses being treated in the spa as well as being exercised on the treadmill, all of which seemed to interest them. Let's hope this little introduction to racing can encourage any up and coming trainers, owners or jockeys in the group!
