The terrific Toro Dorado showed his worth again with a triumphant performance last night at Wolverhampton. It’s been a blistering start to 2020 for team Dunlop, with this already being our third winner from a handful of runners, with Toro supplying two of them!
Toro Dorado was held up early on under a patient Luke Morris. He was pulled out on the bend and began to make smooth progress down the outside under hands and heels. Luke timed his challenge to perfection delivering Toro just before the post, where he eventually prevailed by a head. It is now two from two for the combination of horse and rider; evidently they get on rather well! Let’s hope the handicapper is not too harsh on him and that he can go close again.
We are delighted for the owners, they are great supporters of the yard and we are thrilled with their success.
Finally, a massive thank you and congratulations must go to Csongor who looks after him at home. His regular rider, Elena, also deserves a huge amount of praise, as well as the rest of the team.
We look forward to him running again and may the brilliant start to 2020 continue.
