Zamjar
It has been a beautiful day here in Newmarket and the ground dried sufficiently for us to work some of the older horses on the Flat Gallop first lot. I was happy with how the majority of the horses went. We then worked a handful of horses second lot on the Al Bahathri and again I was pleased with how they are progressing.
We have two runners today, Fun Money runs in a ten furlong handicap up at Wolverhampton. She would look to have a chance in an open looking affair with some unexposed types headed up by William Knight’s filly that is currently favourite. Toffee Apple runs down at Brighton this evening in a 0-55 classified, she is wrong at the weights so we are using Edward Greatrex to partially offset this. She is wearing blinkers for the first time and I am hoping they bring about some improvement.
The ground is slowly drying out and we made a lot of entries again today for next Monday although some of these are on the all-weather. We also made four entries for the Redcar Totepool Trophy which is run on the first of October over six furlongs. Zamjar is our second two year old to be entered this season and he has been entered at Wolverhampton over 6f on Monday.
