The sun has broken through after an early misty morning and it is a beautiful day here in Newmarket. We worked some horses on the Al Bahathri as well as the grass first lot and then we took some horses over to the watered gallop second lot. After breakfast we gave some two year olds gentle pieces of work on the watered gallop as I gradually build them up towards their first run. I am happy with how the two year olds are coming along and we will have a few more ready to run in the near future.

We just had the one runner yesterday and Global Revival showed more than on his debut when finishing fourth at Leicester. I am happy with how he is progressing and as I said in my blog yesterday I feel he will improve as the year goes on and I hope we can win races with him. We have no runners today but Blushes and Rock ‘N Red left early this morning in preparation for their engagements tomorrow at Hamilton.

There is some high class action in France today which brightens up an otherwise quiet Tuesday. The Prix d’Ispahan (Group 1)  has been moved to Chantilly and it has attracted a very strong field. Mondialiste and My Dream Boat both head over from these shores and should appreciate the heavy ground. My Dream Boat has the advantage of having a run this season whilst this may be a stepping stone to future targets for some of the field. Dariyan also has from in these conditions and recently won the Prix Ganay whilst the Arc third and French Derby winner New Bay makes his seasonal reappearance. The Japanese Hong Kong Cup winner A Shin Hikari also runs and it is a truly international field with a lot of strength in depth.
