Saggiatore gains just reward

SAGGIATORE, who had finished second in six of her previous eight races, finally broke her maiden when winning the two-mile handicap at Wolverhampton on Friday night.

Anybody at Sandown in May when the beautifully-bred Saggiatore (Galileo "" Madame Dubois) showed such promise to chase home Sajjhaa will be amazed that it took the filly so long to get her head in front, but under an enterprising ride from Paul Hanagan she ended the stable's frustrating run of losers with a convincing three lengths success.
