RED CADEAUX is reported in great shape by Ed for his tilt at the totesport.com Cesarewitch at Newmarket tomorrow, though the trainer admits that he could have been luckier in the draw for a race in which, despite the distance of two and a quarter miles, stalls positions have proved crucial over the years.
Ed said:"Red Cadeaux is drawn five, and last year six of the first seven home were drawn 16 or higher, so the omens don't look good. However, he is a horse who does travel, so, hopefully, Johnny Murtagh will be able to bide his time and creep his way into the race. We will be held up to get the trip anyway, but the ground looks like being perfect and I have been very happy with his preparation."
