Our two-year-old show gets rolling

Mon 16 May 2011

We are never that fast out of the blocks with our two-year-olds, but Ed tells me that there are a handful of precocious youngsters in the team this season and we start rolling at Windsor tonight, with ARABIAN FLIGHT and DIAMOND FINESSE launching a two-pronged attack in the opener for La Grange Stables.

Ed said:"Diamond Finesse cost 45,000 Euros at Goffs and is a nice racey Red Clubs filly who is owned by James Stafford's Thurloe Thoroughbreds team. She is related to May Day Queen, who was placed in a Group 3 over six furlongs, so, hopefully, this one will do well, while, though Arabian Flight was only a 6,000gns purchase, she, too, is a racey individual and I picked her out as one of my bargain buys when Steve Taplin came around the yard for his two-year-old annual. She is owned by the Serendipity Partnership"
