Munaaseb moves through the grades

Tue 17 May 2011

MUNAASEB, who was so impressive when winning eight lengths at Lingfield on Grand National day, sits his next exam when taking a step up the ladder for the sprint handicap at Kempton on Wednesday.

Ed said:"Munaaseb is a half-brother to Amour Propre, and, like him, all speed, but, though the fifth (Black Cadillac) won at Bath on Monday, it was probably not the greatest maiden and it is too soon to be getting carried away."

"He has been given a mark of 83 for his first handicap, so is not exactly thrown in, and Kempton is the other way round, but you had to be impressed with the way that he blew them away at Lingfield and this is much more competitive so should tell us where we stand."
