The string heading home
I am heading back to La Grange this evening having had a productive time out here in Dubai. I am told that the temperature plunged to -5oc this morning but the show went on and most people remembered to bring in their gloves! The Jockey Club have once more done a fantastic job in ensuring the canters are in good working order and the only problem has been a few cold fingers and toes.
It looks like being a quiet week on the racing front. We only have one entry later in the week on Friday where the unraced Flinty Fell has an entry in a fillies’ maiden at Lingfield.
Grendisar arguably put up a career best performance when winning the Winter Derby on Saturday at Lingfield. Everything went perfectly to plan for him during the race and he won with authority. He will surely now have another tilt at the Easter Classic and with Tryster out in Dubai he will have a good chance of going two places better than last year.
