KHUBALA got his head in front at the second time of asking when winning the six furlong maiden at Lingfield yesterday. In the colours of Miss Pinar Araci and ridden handily by Ryan Moore, the son of Acclamation tracked the leaders before seeing off the front running Catflap inside the final furlong to go on and score by a length. Providing Moore with the second leg of a treble on the day, the three year old colt showed immense improvement from his initial run at Kempton in October where he ran quite green and failed to do himself justice.
Ed added, "I am very pleased with the way he won and hopefully he should win again in the future. Long may the good run with the horses continue!!"
It has been a solid start to the yard's 2012 campaign with four winners in the last ten days and hopefully the scene has been set for an exciting season.
