We had two runners yesterday, resulting in a quick double within an hour for the team.
Lifejacket is a lovely gelding by Notnowcato who got his first win on the board in the 5.25pm Handicap at Lingfield under a perfect ride by Andrea Atzeni. This horse seemed to really appreciate the first time blinkers and travelled well in behind the main group before being shaken up by Atzeni and driven through a tight gap to go on and lead 50 yards out, winning comfortably enough by half a length. Well done to the Miltil Consortium who own this horse but were sadly not in attendance.
“I was delighted for the Miltil Consortium who own this horse and I hope that now he has got his head in front, he can go on and win again. The blinkers, trip and track suited him and the jockey gave him a great ride.”
Light Fantastic is a beautiful two year old filly by Acclamation. She impressed first time out when finishing third at Newmarket under Pat Smullen over seven furlongs. She gained experience form that race and proved how tough and game she was by battling hard to win the 6.25pm Fillies Maiden at Kempton under William Buick. William settled her in second place behind the 6/4 favourite Commandaria. She challenged the leader two furlongs out and showed how genuine she is by just defying the Jeremy Noseda trained filly by a neck. We are delighted for a new syndicate, the Racing Fillies, who were all extremely pleased to see their distinctive colours first past the post.
“Light Fantastic is a lovely natured filly who has done everything right. She was very game and William gave her a great ride. I’m sure she can go on and win again for the Racing Fillies!”
