DRAGONERA showed great determination at Doncaster last night to win under Paul Hanagan to make it three wins from three outings on the turf for this daughter of Doyen. The leader took the field along at a steady pace in what was a decent fillies' handicap over a mile and a quarter with Dragonera coming with her challenge over two furlongs out. The Johnny Weatherby and Stephen Purdew owned four year old soon went clear under the champion jockey and held off the fast finishing Battery Power to score by a neck. This big, scopey filly was tough under a strong drive and now has four wins to her credit and hopefully remains on an upward curve.
