Busy Thursday - we are at three meetings

Tue 17 May 2011

Our compass is pointing north, south and west for Thursday, when our horse boxes will be heading for three meetings, Haydock, Sandown and Salisbury.

Ed, delighted if frustrated how close both BURWAAZ and BAQAAT went at Nottingham on Monday, said:"Haydock had 7mm of rain on Monday night, turning the ground to 'good', which will suit AANNA HENEEIH, who runs in the 7f handicap. We gave him his debut on the Polytrack at Lingfield in March because he would not want the ground too firm and the turf tracks were so dry, and he won really well. He has got a mark of 73, which is fair enough, but it is a competitive race."

"SATWA LAIRD will be sharper for his comeback race at Ascot, and he has been dropped 2lb which will be a help for the mile handicap, while AL KHAWANEEJ makes his belated debut in the maiden."

"APPAREL is our one runner at Salisbury, and we have booked Kieren Fallon to ride in the mile and a half handicap. This Cape Cross filly is a daughter of that good racemare Independence, and she will hopefully improve for this step up in trip."

"We also have two runners at Sandown's evening meeting, HAYLAMAN in the 10-furlong handicap and DRAGONERA in the finale. Haylaman was short-headed at Lingfield a fortnight ago and this is his first race on turf. We have booked Frankie Dettori and the horse is in good form. Dragonera is penalised 6lb for her win at Wolverhampton last week, but she has gone up 7lb so is effectively a pound well in."
